Tell us your thoughts about the Canning Highway banners!
This online discussion forum has concluded. You can still browse the site but the discussion area will no longer accept new comments or votes.
Since 2001, the City of Melville has displayed banners along the Canning Hwy in Applecross. The banners have changed every 4 to 6 weeks to coincide with civic events and public holidays, including Australia Day, Labour Day and other relevant occasions such as Christmas and the City of Melville Art Awards.
Currently nine sets of banners rotate during the year. All banners are removed during winter months to prevent storm damage.
The banner program is currently under review and we would like to find out your opinion about the effectiveness of these banners, including their location. Over the next 3 months we want you to tell us about the impact of these banners in the community, their location and let us know any ideas you have about other options.
What do you think? Tell us your thoughts in the online discussion forum.

Melville trials 360 litre recycling bins.
This online discussion forum has concluded. You can still browse the site but the discussion area will no longer accept new comments or votes.
The City of Melville is currently trialling the introduction of a 360 litre recycling bin in 630 households in Winthrop and wants to hear what you and all households have to say about their possible introduction.
Do you think "bigger is better"? Will 50% larger 360 litre bins be accepted throughout Melville? Will the bigger bins contribute to an increase in our recycled waste and a reduction in landfill waste?
Have your say about the introduction of 360 litre bins in the online forum and let us know if Bigger is Better and take 5 seconds to complete our Bigger is Better quick poll.
Is bigger better? We're listening so tell us what you think!
